Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 Days
Overview
Why Choose the EBC Trek?
The Everest Base Camp trek takes you to an altitude of 5,364 meters, offering panoramic views of iconic mountains such as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Pumori. Along the way, trekkers walk through lush forests, traditional villages, monasteries, and the spectacular Khumbu Glacier, making it one of the most sought-after treks in the world.
Your Journey Begins
The adventure kicks off with a scenic flight to Lukla. Depending on the season, you’ll either take a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (January, February, June, July, August, December) or a 20-minute flight from Manthali (Ramechhap) to Lukla combined with a 5–6 hour drive from Kathmandu to Manthali (March, April, May, October, November).
From Lukla, the trek begins along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and entering the Sagarmatha National Park. Soon, you’ll arrive at the bustling Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, the trade and cultural hub of the Khumbu region and an ideal place for acclimatization.
Cultural and Scenic Highlights
After spending a day in Namche, you’ll continue toward Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, a spiritual center with dramatic views of Ama Dablam and other peaks. The trek then leads through Dingboche and Lobuche, where the landscapes become more rugged and the high Himalayan giants appear closer than ever.
Reaching Gorak Shep, you’ll make the final hike along the majestic Khumbu Glacier to stand at the legendary Everest Base Camp. From here, trekkers witness breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks.
The next morning, you’ll climb to Kala Patthar (5,545 m), the best viewpoint for sunrise over Mt. Everest. The golden light illuminating Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse is a memory that lasts forever.
Return Journey
After enjoying the views, the trek retraces back through Pheriche, Tengboche, and Namche, before returning to Lukla. A short flight then brings you back to Kathmandu, concluding your incredible Everest Base Camp trek with Accomplish Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
